Coral Pearl Earrings

The coral branch cast in sterling silver, 20 by 10mm, with freshwater pearls added. The pearls sit against the coral rather than hanging free below it, so the pair reads as one object instead of two elements on a wire. Round pearl against irregular pitted silver is the contrast doing the work here. Coral is cast from a real piece, keeping the porous surface. The pearls are freshwater and irregular, so the pairing differs slightly earring to earring. More substantial than the plain coral studs and less swingy than the dangling pair. If you want the coral shape with a bit of shine to it, this is the middle option and probably the most wearable of the three.
