Calypso Pearl Necklace

A single organic freshwater pearl in a sterling silver setting, on a fine chain. The Calypso range is Kinkel's pearl line, named after the sea nymph. The settings are deliberately irregular: the silver wraps the pearl rather than clamping it into a symmetrical mount, so each necklace fits the particular pearl it was made around. Organic freshwater pearls are bumpy and slightly ridged, and they take light differently across their surface instead of throwing one clean highlight the way a round cultured pearl does. If you want uniform, this is the wrong necklace. Chain comes in 40, 45, 50, 55 or 60cm. It works on its own and layers well under a longer chain because the pearl sits proud of the neckline rather than flat against it.
