Calypso Pearl Earrings
Sterling silver earrings built around a single organic freshwater pearl each, from Kinkel's Calypso range. Calypso is the sea nymph who kept Odysseus on her island for seven years, and the range is named for her. In practice that means pearls held in silver settings that look poured rather than engineered, with the metal following the shape of the pearl instead of forcing it into a symmetrical mount. Organic freshwater pearls are not round. They are lumpy, faintly ridged, and each one different, which is the whole point. A perfectly round pearl looks like a bead. These look like something that came out of the sea. The most expensive pair in the Calypso range, and the one that carries the most pearl. We stock Kinkel in the shop on Oak Street in Greyton, and post anywhere in South Africa. The Jewellery is handmade per order. Orders will take between 6 – 12 business days (excluding shipping) to manufacture.
