Calico Pearl Studs

A cast sterling silver calico shell at the ear with a freshwater pearl hanging just below it. Because the pearl dangles rather than sitting fixed, these move more than a stud usually does. The shell holds the ear and the pearl swings under it, which is a small thing but it is what makes the pair worth the extra over plain studs. The shell is moulded from a real calico picked up on a local beach, so the banded surface is genuine. Freshwater pearls are irregular by nature, and Kinkel do not sort them for uniformity, so the two on any given pair will differ slightly. Small enough for the office, interesting enough to wear out.
