Sea Urchin Pearl Necklace

A sterling silver sea urchin cast from a real shell, hung on a fine chain with a freshwater pearl swinging beneath it. Kinkel mould their urchins from shells picked up on Cape Town beaches, so the ridges and the dimpled surface are a real urchin's rather than a designer's idea of one. Cast in silver it keeps all of that detail at a size you can wear every day. Two sizes. The Baby pairs a 10mm urchin with a 5mm pearl and reads as a small everyday piece. The Classic pairs a 14mm urchin with a 10mm pearl and is closer to a statement. Chain comes in 40, 45, 50, 55 or 60cm, so it can sit at the collarbone or lower down over a shirt. The pearl is freshwater and slightly irregular, which is what stops the whole thing looking manufactured. We stock Kinkel in the shop on Oak Street in Greyton, and post anywhere in South Africa. The Jewellery is handmade per order. Orders will take between 6 – 12 business days (excluding shipping) to manufacture.
